it took two days of searching and testing until I found out what caused the errror message “eclipse org.eclipse.swt.SWTError: Cannot initialize Drop start up” in Flash Builder 4.5 on a freshly installed system.
The reason was the software “WideCap”. From reports on the net it seems “Proxifier” can cause the same problem.
After deinstalling WideCap and rebooting suddenly all Eclipse based products including Aptana Studio and Flash Builder 4.5 started to work again.
